Help Wanted
The idea behind the Political Cartel never belonged to the three of us who are called its “founders.” Independent intellectual ideas existed long before this blog, even on Harding University’s campus. We have tried to channel some of those ideas and use this blog as a conduit for discussion and a catalyst for enlightenment.
The purpose of this blog has never been ideologically driven. Political Cartel blog does not exist to promote any one particular view, although the authors and commenters certainly bring their own unique perspectives and opinions. We have been able to bring together intellectual voices from across the campus to generate good discussions, and we have seen several good writers come and go in the past year and a half. Political Cartel exists as a forum for intellectual discussion of politics, philosophy, society, religion, and literature relevant to Harding University, the United States, and people everywhere.
Over the blog’s history, we have steadily grown to our current level where we see about 4,000 visitors per week. Those who read, write, and comment at Political Cartel know that its value does not come from the genius of its authors, but from the conversations it inspires. The online and offline discussions that were sparked by Political Cartel articles have helped everyone involved grow intellectually.
This December, the three founders of Political Cartel are graduating from Harding. Although we will certainly remain active in the online community, we recognize that Political Cartel’s niche is here at Harding, and it is not ours to take away from this place. We are looking for young, open-minded, intellectual writers who are passionate and willing enough to continue to initiate these discussions on this blog after we leave.
So, expect to see some new authors in the next few weeks as Political Cartel goes through this time of transition. If you are interested in writing, or know someone who would enjoy it, contact us at politicalcartel[at]gmail.com. We are all very excited to see what the future of Political Cartel will look like! And of course, thank you to everyone who reads and comments on this blog because you are the ones who make it so valuable and so much fun.

You should merge with Libertas Exemplar.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAAAAA, jkkwuitzky, that totally made my day.
But these new writers will just see the boundaries you cross and leave too. Its just a downward spiral.
You and your boundary crossing, David. When will it stop?
Wait…what are boundaries?
The boundaries being crossed here really concern me.
Any chance you all could stay inside the acceptable boundaries?
I’ll write for you. What’s the starting pay?
Can I please write for political cartel?
Michael Walker’s comment made me laugh because I read the comment first and thought it was a joke. Thanks for the laughs, buddy.
And I dunno about merging with LE. Looks like they disowned us.
People around here are freakin’ retarded.
Indeed. You’ve really got some oafs wandering around over there.
I believe they have disowned you David. The question you should ask your self in this endeavor is if you really intended them to take “ownership” of you in the first place. Honestly, I did not interpret your article to mean Jesus is not Divine. I saw the article as posing a statement/ question about the inherent potency of the Christian faith. About our faiths ability to still have a profound effect on the world even if someone attempts to negate the Validity of Christ’s Holiness. The article specifically stated, that David was not attempting to take away from the Diety of Christ. Oh Well, children do squabble.
