Don’t Let Me Down, Apple
September 5, 2008
I am and have been one of the world’s leading Apple supporters for a while now. But I’m not too thrilled that John McCain’s and Sarah Palin’s speeches are the only video podcasts on the entire iTunes Music Store that are having problems downloading right now. In light of McCain’s resurgence in the polls and enormous tv ratings during his and Palin’s speeches, I have a suspicion that some dirty deal went down between Apple and the Democratic Party. Apple has always seemed like a liberal-leaning company to me.

Man, I have never been an Apple girl… but if this is true, I might just change my ways
;)
This post freaks me out because it’s either Chris trying to be like Chris Berry or like Nick Horton.
(And I immediately apologize to Chris, Chris, and Nick. Sorry guys for your respective offense, but I had to say it)
I’m just wondering how you can’t decide if he’s trying to be like me or trying to be like Nick. Of course, Nick Horton and I are so similar…
I love Apple. Then again, I’m a liberal and I’m supposed to love Apple.
So you’ve tried every other possible podcast?
I tried a bunch. Including Obama’s. This is real.
Chris McNeal: Apple does not host podcasts. They simply provide a directory for the self-hosted podcasts that are registered with Apple. My co-host for the Opinionated Show recently changed some things around on our site, which changed the address of the actual podcast files, which causes a problem with downloading these files from iTunes.
The problem has nothing to do with Apple, but rather some error on the part of whoever is in charge of getting that online. Is it hosted by the RNC, the McCain campaign, or some news organization? Whoever it is, they are the ones to blame.
