Political Blogging Scholarship

February 27, 2008

Recently, I applied for a Political Blogging scholarship from College Scholarships.org. I was lucky enough to be selected as one of three finalists in the competition, and now it is up to the public to elect the winner from the three. I hope that the new visitors that this contest brings enjoy their stay at Political Cartel and will vote for me in the contest!

About Me:

My name is David Manes and I am a 21-year old junior political science major at Harding University. I am from Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania, where I met my wonderful fiancée Kathleen. I am an intellectual, a liberal, and a poor college student who plans on going to law school in a couple of years.

Steve, Chris, and I founded Political Cartel in April 2007 to be different from other political blogs. We didn’t want it to be a site where one person ranted on a handful of pet issues or where the mainstream news was simply regurgitated. Instead, we set up the Political Cartel as an ideological roundtable where we could all discuss and debate interesting issues in politics, religion, and philosophy. What makes our blog remarkable are the great debates that we have started on so many issues.

Thank you for visiting the Political Cartel and I appreciate your support in the Political Blogging Scholarship.
