John Manlove For Congress
February 27, 2008

This is almost too good to be true. John Manlove is a conservative Republican running for Congress in Texas’ 22nd district. I would have assumed that this was a joke, but the site is extremely well designed and it turns out that this is a real guy.
I can already picture a couple of awkward bumper stickers:
“I support Manlove!”
“Congress needs Manlove!”
I really don’t have much substantive to say about this, but I just thought that more people should see this. Mr. Manlove should be careful to always include his first name to avoid some of that awkwardness.
(Thanks to jkkuwitzky for sharing the Manlove!)

I am writing a new song: Man is Love.
I would love to see a headline like:
“McCain endorses Manlove”
“Texans for Manlove”
“John Manlove legally changes last name to Homophobia”
I’m assuming Larry Craig and Mark Foley have come out in support of Manlove?
This is amusing, and it may not last but PC is the top result if you google the words: manlove for congress.
I enjoyed that. Any other ideas for awkward bumper stickers?
“No matter what happens, you can always turn to Manlove.”
Greg: Great us of “come out” in that comment.
